Who: HealtheConnections, a respected national leader in providing health information exchange (HIE) services for 26 counties of NYS.

What: We are hiring a new team member to help create and maintain user accounts and information for the thousands of people who use our services while delivering excellent support.

Why: This Administrative and Customer Support Specialist role supports one of the largest and most multi-faceted health information exchanges in the country. This team is the "face of the company" for many of our participants. You will be creating and addressing service tickets, creating new accounts and maintaining accurate user data, fielding emails and some phone calls, answering user questions, and ultimately making sure that all the details are organized and in the right place.

Competencies & Experience

• A 2-year or higher degree in a communication, business, information technology, or similar field is strongly preferred

HealtheConnections is hiring a new team member with a background in cloud data architecture and systems to support the new structure of (and the ongoing evolution of) a health information exchange.

The health information exchange is a network of health and care professionals that does exactly what it sounds like – securely exchange information in support of better health. Our system contains data from thousands of facilities across NYS, and quite frankly, we’re outgrowing it. We’re preparing for the next phase of our systems and services and need experienced team members who can help shape that future.

We’re on the precipice of a completely new system, structures, and procedures. As a member of this team, you’ll have a hand in creatively influencing how this will work. This includes:

• reviewing requirements, specs, and technical documentation and providing input into data storage and use
• evaluating new service requests from the perspective of how we store and retrieve data
• strategizing with other team members to develop and implement those services

Competencies & Experience

• 4-year degree or higher in an information technology or related field. Equivalent experience and certifications will also be considered.
• 5+ years’ professional experience working with database structures and the storage/movement of data required.
• Experience working with Google Cloud (GCP) and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS) required.
• Experience with Postgres, Aurora, or RDS databases a strong plus.
• Experience with Big Query, Healthcare API, and a familiarity with FHIR standards preferred.
• Professional experience working with clinical data or in the healthcare field strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to analyze a problem and implement strategies to address challenges.
• Ability to work independently and balance competing priorities and complex situations.
• Excellent communication skills and an ability to work comfortably with a wide variety of people at different levels, both internal and external to the organization.

Salary range: $85,000 to $120,000 per year

Our technical teams are made of talented people with a variety of technical skills and backgrounds. If you have worked at an Electronic Medical Record company, hospital system, or other setting where you learned about health data and coordinated integrations, there's a place for you here!

We run what's called the health information exchange (HIE), and there's a lot to it - managing the data compendium process among any HIE data sources, integrating and maintaining connectivity from external systems with the HIE, collaborating with partners on unique projects, and more. Right now, we’re looking for an Integrations Analyst who can facilitate the movement of patient health information through our extensive interfaced network and maintain supporting applications and tools.

You’ll get the chance to work with one of the largest and most multi-faceted health information exchanges in the country, interfacing with a variety of participant partners and their IT systems. No two days are ever the same, so if that sounds exciting to you, let's talk.

• Experience working within healthcare industry and working with healthcare data a plus
• Ability to work independently and balance competing priorities and complex situations
• Ability to work comfortably with a wide variety of people at different levels, both internal and external to the organization

Expected salary range: $50,000 to $75,000 per year
