HealtheConnections Portal:

What's New and What's Next

Our new and improved portal is live! Users will experience faster record returns, intuitive navigation, expanded analytics capabilities, and modern infrastructure designed to support continued growth.

As with any new system launch, additional features will continue to be rolled out. This page contains a list of enhancements that users can expect to see in upcoming releases, as well as those that have already been completed and are now available. If you have questions or cannot access completed enhancements, please contact us.

HealtheConnections Services: Completed Enhancements

The following list of features have been completed and are now available:

  • Downloading and printing of labs and CCDs from the clinical records viewer
  • Printing and downloading radiology reports

HealtheConnections Services: Upcoming Features

  • The following priority features are expected in an upcoming release:
    • Results (formerly myResults): When laboratory results, radiology reports, or transcribed reports are sent to the HIE and a provider is identified on the report, that provider—or their designed delegate(s)—will be able to view and download the report. In the interim, this clinical information may be accessed through Patient Synopsis (Lookup).

  • All imaging sources are currently available with the exception of the sources listed below. An estimated timeline for the integration of these sources is not yet available; however, we will provide an update once additional details become available.  Currently unavailable sources:
    • Non-Cayuga Medical Center Centralus sources
    • Claxton-Hepburn on the Worklist Viewer
    • Slocum-Dickson on the Worklist Viewer

  • Statewide Encounter Alerts single sign on (SSO) access is expected to be available by the end of Q1 (January-March). This functionality will allow provisioned users of this service to login once to the HIE Portal and seamlessly transition to alerting portal via a direct link. SSO is a priority enhancement and a key focus for improving efficiency and streamlining user workflows. At this time, Statewide Encounter Alerts users should access the portal via the link available in the Help Center on the HIE Portal user dashboard.

  • Inclusion of selected patient demographic information on printed and downloaded clinical records, such as name and date of birth, is expected to be released in early 2026. We will provide an update once additional details become available.

  • Administrative reports are currently under development and will be rolled out to RHIO Administrator and Audit Contacts as they become available. We anticipate an initial release beginning in Q1 (January-March), with the full suite of reports available by Q2 (April-June). Additional guidance will be provided in advance of the rollout, including instructions on how to access the Reports section and complete related action items, such reviewing and submitting an audit. At this time, no action is required. Should action become necessary, Audit Contacts will be contacted directly with detailed guidance from our team.

  • Patient-specific reports (myData) and public health reports (myPopHealth) are currently under development and will be deployed to provisioned Authorized Users as they become available. We anticipate an initial rollout beginning in Q1 (January-March), with the full Reports sections available in early Q2 (April-June). Detailed instructions on how to access and navigate the Reports section will be provided once the functionality is available.

  • The process of validating and making data available for more than 16 million patients is complex and ongoing. At this time, a minimum of two years of historical data, beginning around January 1, 2024, is available. Because data validation and ingestion will continue on an ongoing basis, we do not yet have an estimated completion timeline or additional details to share.
