Health Planning

This has been a year of transitions. CNYHSA is now doing business as HealtheConnections.  We welcomed two new staff members, Kate Warner, Senior Health Planner and Sara Wall Bollinger, Executive Director for Health Planning. Timothy Bobo retired after serving 40 years on staff, 22 as Executive Director. We sincerely thank Tim for his service and wish him well in retirement.

We are excited by the progress we have made to learn more about variations in emergency department utilization; to assess the impact of Medicaid Redesign Team (MRT) recommendations on long term care; and look forward to our December conference, Connecting for Better Health, which will bring stakeholders from across the region together to focus on health improvement initiatives and the next State Health Improvement Plan.

The value of regional health planning has been affirmed by the New York State Department of Health, assuring the sustainability of the newly established Health Planning division.  We look forward to engaging with our partners in healthcare and business to achieve the triple aim: improved health, improved care and lower costs.
